Q. How do the online classes compare to those at the live events?
A. Scales University’s rigorous ratings and feedback system confirms that we maintain a superior student experience and consistently high levels of student satisfaction in our online and in-person courses. We encourage you to evaluate free demonstrations of the OnDemand and Live Online online learning options as you consider and explore our programs.
Q. Are there time limits to complete individual courses?
A. Most technical courses are recommended to be completed within 90 days from the start date. For specialized courses; students writing research papers, group projects, and presentations have completion timelines ranging from 24 hours to 120 days. Upon admission to a program, students receive an academic plan that will outline the course requirements and all the associated timelines. We encourage you to connect with our admissions team to discuss details specific to programs you’re interested in.
Q. How are courses graded?
A. Course grades are determined by the grade received on the associated assessment. If applicable grades are determined by the cadre member(s) for that course.
Q. Are there semesters and trimesters, or is the program ‘open enrollment’?
A. It’s completely open enrollment. Courses are taken throughout the year based on the academic plan each student creates with a dedicated student advisor. Are scholarships or financial aid available? Not as of yet, coming soon. We’re currently working on Veteran’s credit and scholarships.
